Beauford Wedding Car

Based in Stoke-On-Trent Beauford Cars is a family run manufacturer of cars delivered in kit form (Kit Cars) for home build which are particularly popular as wedding cars due to their vintage look. Cars are built on a ladder chassis made from 4″ x 2″ (100 mm x 50 mm)’ box section steel 1/8″ (3 mm) thick with a fibreglass body based on a mini in 2 or 4 door versions with an alloy bonnet, boot and wings. Suspension, steering and other various parts come from either a Ford Sierra or Cortina. Engine and transmission is pretty much up to whatever the owner/builder chooses to fit with practically any engine form an inline 4 cylinder to quite possibly a V12 fitting under  the bonnet. A Beauford is 187″ (4.75 m) long, 66″ (1.68 m) wide, 60″ tall (152 m) and weighs in at around 2240 lbs (1000 kg), at 126″ (3.2 m) it also probably has the longest wheelbase of any currently produced motor car
